"Philippe Pibarot makes wine on the outskirts of the village of Mus, a couple of miles south of Nîmes in the northern part of the Languedoc. Philippe made his first vintage in 2001 - today he farms nine hectares of vineyards. Southern grape varieties such as carignan and syrah, morrastel and counoise, vermentino and cinsault are typically grown here - all distributed over two different locations.
Pibarot uses the nine hectares mainly himself, assisted by his father, and all land is managed with ecologically certified methods. The soils consist of different types of calcareous clay from the Cretaceous period. In the basement, everything is done by hand, of course without added yeast and without any other form of correction. The goal is always to make the wines completely without additives, but the vintages when needed use a little sulfur in connection with the bottling." -Vin Natur
