Partida Creus 'BB' 2019
Producer: Partida Creus
Grape variety: Bobal
Notes: BB is a red wine produced from Bobal grapes. The grapes come from old vines that rise on clayey-calacarea soils. Harvesting is done by hand. Once they arrive in the cellar, the grapes are destemmed and macerated for 1 or 3 days depending on the vintage. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts only and refining for several months in steel tanks.
Partida Creus is a small traditional winery that produces a very limited quantity of wines made with organically grown grapes. The initiative was started in 2007 by a couple of Italian architects from the Piedmont region, Antonella Gerosa and Massimo Marchiori, who, seeking a complete reversal in their lives, relocated to the quiet village of Bonastre. There they refurbished an old agricultural building, converting it into a cellar, a project carried out with recycled materials.
