Notes: The story of Muller-Koeberle starts with Eugene Muller and Jean Koeberle planting the first Pinot Noir vines inSaint-Hippolyte in the Alsace region of France. Jean married Eugene’s daughter Rose and the two of them began tending the vines and the business together. The next generation consisted of children Annie and Jacques who took over the estate after their parents. Each generation was born into conventional winemaking and happily followed the family’s traditions until Annie’s son David turned 25. David took over the business by himself and started by getting rid of all chemicals used in the winemaking. From there he and his wife Marianne set out to turn the farm entirely biodynamic.
