- Other information: Considered the godfather of the natural wine movement in Australia, Anton Van Klopper of Lucy Margaux has been tending his vineyards in Adelaide Hills biodynamically since 2007. He’s known for his uncompromising approach to any additions in the wine whatsoever, but also for his intuitive, experimental approach to his cellar, which has led to his wines being highly sought after in Australia and beyond. Von Klopper’s wines don’t quite taste like anything else. He also draws the illustrations on all his labels and cuts them himself, often on the day of bottling. Von Klopper is a modern day avant garde, creating unique and exciting wines that challenge the status quo and subvert expectations. This ‘Stupefacente’ is made from 100% Sangiovese hand harvested grapes grown in red clay over sandstone soils. Fermented and aged in a closed barrel on skins for 8 months. Unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulphites.
