Kumpf et Meyer 'Pinot Noir' 2019
Regular price $28.00
Producer: Kumpf et Meyer
Varietal: Pinot Noir
- All of our wine selections are fermented spontaneously.
- Other Information: Since 2012, Julien Albertus of Kumpf et Meyer has been working biodynamically in his Alsace vineyards with as little intervention as possible, letting the grapes tell their own story. And those stories are rich—some of Albertus’ vines that date back all the way to the 17th century. He keeps busy with 16 hectares spread across 70 vineyards. Always searching for new ways to express the full potential of his varietals as naturally as possible, Albertus makes his wine in a local cave on the outskirts of Rosheim—its cool climate perfect for production. Albertus’ high energy and enthusiasm for each of his grapes directly informs this snappy ‘Pinot Noir.’ Made from 100% handpicked Alsace Pinot Noir grapes. Fermented spontaneously with naturally occurring yeasts. Unfiltered, unfined, without added sulphites. A young and vibrant Alsatian Pinot Noir with enough crunch to enjoy alone for an evening of sipping or paired with your favorite pasta dish.
